The Functional Perfectionist discusses why trying to stick to a spiritual/mindful practice and self-care routine during extra busy times (and then exerting even more pressure by being hard on yourself when you can't keep it up) doesn't really work. What usually works much better is mindful self-care; in other words, checking in with yourself in relation to what you truly need the most in that moment or that day; rotating positive energy rituals; etc.
